Helene joined the team in 2020 working on communications and in 2021 became the first full time employee. She has an extensive background in various fields including design, imports, municipal administration, fundraising, event planning and more. As the Executive Director she supports the Board Members in their commitments and is responsible for new programs and initiatives which broaden the scope of the Foundation and the Trust.
A self-described biologist, teacher and nature nerd, Jessica has been guiding our program and our student since 2022. She has a BSc in Environmental Science (McGill) and a MA in Environmental Education & Communication (Royal Roads University). Jessica believes in cultivating the students curiosity and wonder for the natural world.

Mahicans joined the team in 2016 when the first trail was built at Scowen Park. His unique talents have ensured that we are renowned for our well-designed and long-lasting trails. His philosophy of going lightly on the land, forms the basis of his design work which incorporates local materials and a hand built approach to trails that follow the contours of the land.

Matthew joined the team in 2016, working alongside Mahicans to build the trail at Scowen Park. The two had collaborated on previous projects and Mahicans invited Matthew to bring his experience and skills to this new venture.
Since then, Matthew has taken on the role of Trail Foreman, leading seasonal trail crews and overseeing construction and maintenance efforts. In 2024, he expanded his involvement by joining the education team as an animator. He now proudly serves in both capacities.
