Meet Caroline Jamet

Whether in radio, newspapers, books, music or digital media, Caroline Jamet’s career traces the evolution of Quebec’s media landscape over the past several decades. From live cultural production to today’s on-demand digital platforms, she has remained consistently at the forefront of change.

For more than 25 years, Caroline has held senior leadership roles across media and cultural organizations. Since February 2025, she has served as President of COGECO Media which operates 21 radio stations across Quebec. Prior to this, she led the Audio and Radio division of Radio-Canada’s French services from 2017 to 2025. She was also a member of Gesca’s (La Presse) senior management team as Vice-President, Communications and during that time was President of Éditions La Presse, publishing books and magazines. Earlier in her career, she played a defining role in the development of the Montreal International Jazz Festival and the FrancoFolies through her work with L’Équipe Spectra.

What stands out in Caroline’s journey is not only the breadth of her experience, but her instinct for where media is heading next—and her ability to bring people along with her. She has helped guide organizations through major transitions, from the shift of print media to digital platforms, including the launch of La Presse+, to the rapid rise of mobile and on-demand audio.

When she joined COGECO, Caroline remarked: “Radio is a powerful medium which continues to connect, inform, and accompany listeners in their daily lives”. In many ways, it creates a sense of shared experience—much like the trails of the Massawippi Conservation Trust. While one connects us through voices and stories, the other offers connection through nature, quiet reflection, and the subtle presence of others. Both remind us that we are part of something larger.

During her time at Radio-Canada, Caroline oversaw significant audience growth at ICI Première and ICI Musique while also accelerating the organization’s digital transformation. The successful launch of the OHdio platform in 2019 and increased investment in podcasting positioned the public broadcaster for a new era of listening.

As listening habits continue to evolve, so do organizations like the Massawippi Foundation—who share knowledge, tell stories, and foster a deeper connection to conservation through voices that inform and inspire.

Caroline’s own connection to the Massawippi watershed is both personal and enduring. Her love for the Massawippi region is long-standing: she has lived there for 25 years. Her children are deeply attached to it, and it is in this spirit that she wishes to actively contribute to the conservation of this territory, which is so dear to her and to them. Its forests, wetlands, farmland, and lake are not only landscapes to be protected, but places that shape daily life, well-being and happiness for her and her family.

As a new member of the Massawippi Foundation Board, Caroline brings both experience and perspective at a time of growth and opportunity. She currently serves on the Foundation’s communications and governance committees.
